I like swixml, however, I needed addtional features, so I wrote my own. However, I based it on swixml.

Why no "other" selection? Is there something an engine has to do to be listed here? Are these the only "official" engines or something?

The poll format pretty much depends on what pollhost.com offers. There's no way to offer an "other" selection and the choices are limited to ten contenders. For more info about the nomination criteria, please post your questions and comments to the xul-talk mailinglist.

Is there a way to see the results without voting?

Posted by: jackson at December 8, 2003 02:18 PM

Sorry, you have to vote to see the results. Once the poll closes (Dec. 31st) I will publish the results and announce the winners. Here's the standing as of Dec 8th: Mozilla XUL (23), SwixML (12), Thinlet XUL (5), Luxor XUL (4), JellySwing/SWT (2), Zulu (2), and so on.

Gerald,

Maybe is not a bad idea to add a link for each contender.

Posted by: pmpngn at December 9, 2003 11:36 PM

You can find the links to all Xul motors on the Xul Alliance front page. KaXul/uXul currently has no project page. Please, search the XUL News Wire for KaXul stories that point you to links. GNUstep Renaissance is currently missing on the front page. The link is http://www.gnustep.it/Renaissance

Hi,

1) why not including in the poll an option
"other xul engine" as an input filed

2) I can't see xwidglets in the xul alliance front page

As stated above. The pollhost.com service doesn't offer open questions.

> 2) I can't see xwidglets in the xul alliance front page

I will include xwidglets with the next site update. In the meantime please check out the Xul Alliance Wiki Wiki @ http://xul.sourceforge.net/wiki

Pierre, sorry if you feel left out. Unfortunately, the pollhost.com service only allows ten choices and thus, I had to leave out many excellent XUL motors (yours included).

To promote your XWidglets XUL motor and IDE I invite you to continue posting your announcements about new releases to the XUL News Wire.

Just to let you know: If written up a story for the XUL News Wire that puts all the links in a single page for easy reference. See http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.xul.announce/188 for details.
